IGO's (ASX:IGO) sales revenue declined 8% to AU$131.8 million in the fiscal second quarter from AU$143.1 million in the first quarter due to lower average nickel price from the company's Forrestania project and the lack of contribution from its Cosmos project, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The mining firm produced 392,000 tonnes of spodumene, a 3% quarter-on-quarter fall from 406,000 tonnes.
Lithium hydroxide production rose 6% to 1,593 tonnes from 1,502 tonnes, while nickel in concentrate production fell 25% to 3,393 tonnes from 4,494 tonnes, the filing said.
IGO's underlying loss before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization widened to AU$79 million from a loss of AU$2.9 million in the previous quarter, the filing added.
The company maintained its guidance for fiscal 2025, which includes spodumene production of 1.4 million to 1.6 million tonnes and nickel output of 16,000 to 18,000 tonnes.
