Rogers Communications Says Competition Par For the Course in Telecom Sector -- Market Talk

0958 ET - Rogers Communications sees the competitive environment among carriers to be a theme of 2025, according to CEO Tony Staffieri on the earnings call. But he says the company is executing with discipline, with wireless service revenue rising 2% in the quarter. Staffieri says that 4Q was par for the course in terms of competitive intensity and promotional offers. "I wouldn't describe it as more intense or less intense than prior year," he says. "For 2025, we expect markets to remain competitive and expect growth in wireless to continue to be impacted by the number of newcomers to Canada," Staffieri adds. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
