Barrick Gold (GOLD) and Mali authorities are set to begin a new round of talks to resolve a conflict surrounding the company's tax payments and the seizure of its gold stocks, Reuters reported Monday.
The negotiations will commence on Tuesday, the report said, citing two persons familiar with the matter.
The Canadian miner said earlier this month it temporarily halted operations at the Loulo-Gounkoto mining complex in Mali as it remains restricted from shipping gold from the mining complex.
The company did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
