NOVONIX CEO To Step Down, Shares Fall 8%

NOVONIX's (ASX:NVX) Chief Executive Chris Burns is set to step down from the position effective Jan. 24, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Burns will transition to the role of special advisor to the board in order to support the firm's operations. He led the firm since September 2020, the filing said.

The firm's chief financial officer Robert Long was appointed as interim CEO, effective Jan. 24, according to the filing.

Its board began a search process for its new CEO, who will be based at its headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the firm has its production facilities.

Its shares fell 8% in recent trade.
