Zentek (ZTEK) said Friday it expects to begin sales of its ZenGUARD enhanced air filters in Canada by the end of March.
The medical supplies company said its manufacturing partner in Canada will produce the antimicrobial-coated filters, with the company handling direct sales to its customers under its existing medical device establishment license for ZenGUARD surgical masks.
The company also said it expects to leverage the Class I medical device classification for its enhanced air filters in Canada to prepare for their eventual introduction in the US. It has an application now pending before the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Shares of the company were up 5.1% in recent trading.
