Sturm Ruger has hired the chief executive of FeraDyne Outdoors to replace Chris Killoy ahead of his planned retirement in May.

The firearms maker said Friday that Todd Seyfert will take over as chief executive on March 1. He most recently served as CEO of FeraDyne, which makes archery and hunting products.

Killoy, Sturm Ruger's chief since 2017, will serve as a special advisor to Seyfert and the board until his planned retirement in May. He will remain on the company's board.
