Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) said Newmont Exploration has started a generative air-core drilling program across the Junee joint venture project in New South Wales, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program consists of roughly 144 holes for up to 11,000 meters, the filing said.
Newmont Exploration holds an 80% stake in the copper-gold project and is managing the joint venture, while Koonenberry Gold owns the remaining 20%.
