First Lithium (ASX:FL1) told the Australian Securities Exchange, in response to its query, that the Mali mining department (DNGM) is yet to submit the finalized renewal processes for its Faraba and Gouna permits, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company is entitled to complete exploration works on the Faraba and Gouna permits, the filing added.
If the permits are not renewed soon, the company will request authorization from the Mining Ministry to continue work, as the delay is due to the Department, per the filing.
The company's business activities remain unchanged and identical to those planned if the permits had been renewed, First Lithium added.
Shares of the company rose 4% at market close.
