GFL Environmental has reached an agreement to sell its environmental services business in a deal valued at C$8 billion ($5.59 billion). GFL expects cash proceeds from the deal to be around C$6.2 billion. It intends to use up to C$3.75 billion of the net proceeds to repay debt, leaving up to C$2.25 billion for share repurchases. "GFL Environmental to Sell Environmental Services Business in Deal Worth $8B," at 6:27 a.m. ET, incorrectly said the deal was transacted in U.S. dollars.
