FTAI Aviation (FTAI) said Monday it's launching a strategic capital project in collaboration with third-party investors to acquire on-lease 737NG and A320ceo airplanes.

The initiative is expected to allow for the deployment of over $3 billion of capital per year, the company said.

"The Strategic Capital initiative, and its related partnerships, will allow FTAI to maintain an asset-light business model while the partnerships actively acquire on-lease narrowbody aircraft at scale," the company said.

FTAI said it will sell 46 on-lease narrowbody aircraft to the first partnership of the initiative for an expected net purchase price of $549 million.

The company also said it expects fiscal year 2025 adjusted EBITDA of about $1.1 billion to $1.15 billion from its reportable segments.

Shares of FTAI Aviation were up 1.2% in after-hours trading.
