Sturm Ruger said John Cosentino, Jr., currently lead vice-chairman of the company board, was named to serve as board chairman effective Jan. 1.
Cosentino will succeed Ronald Whitaker, who will continue to serve as a company director.
Sturm Ruger also said Phillip Widman will succeed Cosentino as lead vice-chairman, also effective Jan. 1.
Cosentino was previously a partner of Capital Resource Partners, and also served as a director in several of its portfolio companies. He also served as vice president of operations at Stanley Works, and as President of PCI Group. In addition, he was president of the Otis Elevator-North America division of United Technologies, and chief executive officer and co-owner of Rau Fastener, Sturm Ruger said.
He also currently serves on the boards of several other companies, including Simonds, Addaero and Habco.
