Rumble (RUM) said Monday that cryptocurrency trader Tether will buy 103.3 million of its shares at $7.50 apiece. Rumble said it will use around $250 million of the proceeds to support growth initiatives and the remaining proceeds to fund a self-tender offer for up to 70 million class A shares, also at $7.50 per share.
Rumble shares were nearly 93% higher at $13.87 each after midday Monday, after earlier topping out at $14.18 a share.
Rigetti Computing (RGTI) disclosed on Monday the public launch of its new 84-qubit Ankaa-3 quantum computer system, including an extensive hardware redesign supporting improved performance.
Rigetti shares were ahead more than 17% this afternoon, with more than 195 million shares changing hands with more than two hours still left in Monday's trading session. On an average day, Rigetti's trading volume is around 57.9 million shares.
Honda Motor (HMC) and Nissan Motor said Monday they have signed a memorandum of understanding that will see the Japanese auto makers discussing a potential business integration through a joint holding company.
Honda was speeding to a nearly 12% gain Monday afternoon. Trading volume recently was more than 4.1 million shares compared with a daily average of around 1.1 million shares.
