Samudera Shipping Line (SGX:S56) confirmed the delivery of Sinar Sumatera, thus completing the acquisition of two new-build container vessels, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.
The company had taken the delivery of the first vessel, Sinar Sulawesi on Aug. 8.
The company had also signed addendums to the agreement to novate its obligations and rights to wholly owned subsidiary, Samudera Ships Investment.
In an earlier filing, the company had entered into agreements with an unrelated party for the acquisition of two vessels with a capacity of 1,900 twenty foot equivalents (TEUs) each for a total price of around $66.0 million.
