Vallianz Offshore Marine, a unit of Vallianz Holdings (SGX:WPC), is consulting lawyers after Hilong Marine Engineering filed an $8.1 million counterclaim over alleged deficiencies in the chartered vessel Vallianz Supreme, according to a Friday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The dispute arose after Vallianz sought $702,217 in unpaid charter fees and $54,297 in accrued interest.
The vessel, chartered from August 2023 and returned in March, saw its term extended despite Hilong's claims of downtime and the need for a replacement vessel.
