RGC Resources raised its quarterly dividend by 3.8% to 20.75 cents a share from 20 cents.
The Roanoke, Va.-based natural gas company said on Friday the decision by its board of directors raised the payout to 83 cents on an annual basis. That represents a yield of 3.8% based on Friday's closing stock price of $21.24 per share.
The company last raised its dividend about year ago when it boosted its quarterly payout to 20 cents per share.
The dividend will be paid on Feb. 1 to shareholders of record on Jan. 17.
