Triller Group (ILLR) said Monday it has appointed Kevin McGurn as chief executive officer, starting in November.
McGurn most recently served as an executive in T-Mobile's (TMUS) marketing division. He has extensive leadership experience in the media and music industries, the company said.
The company added that James McCann has joined its board as chairman of the nominations committee. He previously served as CEO of 1-800-Flowers.com (FLWS). Former Triller Corp. CEO Bobby Sarnevesht has also joined the board.
These moves are part of Triller Group's transformation plan, the company said, adding that it plans to announce more changes to its leadership team in the coming weeks. Details about its strategic business plan will be shared at an investor and media event scheduled for November.
Shares of Triller Group rose over 8% in recent trading activity.
