Mineral processing company Zeotech (ASX:ZEO) secured a Japanese patent for the technology to produce impurity-free zeolite from aluminosilicate feedstock, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The patent represented a "key commercial imperative" because Japan is a large domestic manufacturer and consumer of manufactured zeolites, said John Vogrin, head of Projects, Research and Development at Zeotech.
