American West Metals (ASX:AW1) struck high-grade mineralization of up to 11.1% copper at the Chinook Deposit within the Storm project in Canada, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Assays include 29 meters at 2.6% copper and 4.3 grams per tonne of silver from the surface, including 3.1 meters at 11.1% copper and 1.5 g/t silver.
Results for the remaining Cyclone Deposit holes are expected in the next two to four weeks, the filing stated.
