Senshu Electric's Attributable Profit Jumps 21% in Fiscal Nine Months

Senshu Electric's (TYO:9824) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 20.7% to 5.38 billion yen in the fiscal nine months ended July 31, from 4.46 billion yen a year ago as higher sales were bolstered by extraordinary income.

The company said earnings per share rose to 306.36 yen from 250.69 yen a year ago, according to a filing last Thursday.

Net sales gained 6.8% to 99.2 billion yen from 92.9 billion yen a year earlier.

It forecasted attributable profit to grow 18.2% to 7 billion yen or 401.47 yen per share and net sales to gain 5.6% to 132 billion yen for the fiscal year ending Oct. 31.

The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 65 yen per share for the current fiscal year.

Senshu Electric's shares gained nearly 3% at the market close.
