BYD Company Limited (01211) rose more than 5%, gaining 5.31% to HK$113 at the time of writing, with a turnover of HK$3.22 billion. In March, BYD's overseas sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 120,000 units, an increase of 65.12% year-on-year, setting a new high for the year. Cumulative overseas sales for the first quarter reached 320,000 vehicles, accounting for nearly 46% of total sales. Additionally, the company's premium brand, Denza, recently held a European launch event at the Paris Opera House in France. Guoyuan International noted that Denza's flagship model Z9GT plug-in hybrid starts at €103,500 in Europe, equivalent to over RMB 900,000. This pricing positions it competitively against the Mercedes-Benz EQS and Porsche Taycan. Advanced technologies such as the E³ platform and fast-charging capabilities support Denza's premium pricing strategy. The company exported 1.045 million vehicles in 2025 and is highly likely to surpass 1.5 million units in 2026. Overseas markets are expected to become a significant contributor to the company's revenue and profit growth. Beyond the automotive sector, BYD's diversified business layout demonstrates strong growth potential. Its energy storage business has been particularly outstanding, with global shipments exceeding 60GWh in 2025, ranking first worldwide. The company also secured a 12.5GWh grid-side energy storage project in Saudi Arabia, the largest of its kind globally, with deliveries commencing in April. Leveraging vertical integration capabilities from battery cells to systems, along with technological advantages, the energy storage business has become another major growth driver following the automotive segment. Furthermore, the company is actively expanding into emerging areas such as AI computing infrastructure, having established a strategic portfolio that includes servers, liquid cooling systems, power supplies, and high-speed interconnects.
