South Korean stock market experiences sharp decline followed by rebound

On July 30, the Japanese and South Korean stock markets opened. The Nikkei 225 index fell by 0.29%, while the KOSPI index rose by 0.33%.

The KOSPI index quickly turned negative at the start of trading. By 08:03, the decline widened to 1%, with the index reaching 5,593.04 points. SK Hynix fell by more than 4%.

By 08:13, the KOSPI index had reversed course and turned positive, recording a gain of 1% for the session.
