CHINA EAST AIR (00670) Reports 7.39% YoY Increase in July Passenger Capacity

CHINA EAST AIR (00670) announced that its passenger capacity input (measured by available seat kilometers) increased by 7.39% year-over-year in July 2025. Passenger turnover (measured by revenue passenger kilometers) rose by 9.42% compared to the same period last year, while the load factor reached 84.76%, representing an increase of 1.58 percentage points year-over-year. Additionally, cargo and mail turnover (measured by freight ton kilometers) grew by 10.53% year-over-year in July 2025.

During July 2025, the company resumed domestic routes including Ordos-Wuxi and Taiyuan-Huaian, while increasing flight frequencies on routes such as Taiyuan-Hangzhou, Kunming-Changsha, Qingdao-Wuhan, and Wuhan-Beihai. In international and regional markets, new routes were launched including Shanghai Pudong-Copenhagen, Shanghai Pudong-Almaty, Shanghai Pudong-Kumamoto, Nanjing-Paris, Xi'an-Tashkent, and Taiyuan-Macau. The airline also resumed Shanghai Pudong-Songshan and Yantai-Tokyo Narita routes, while adding frequencies to Shanghai Pudong-Tokyo Narita, Shanghai Pudong-Hiroshima, and Shanghai Pudong-Sapporo routes.

In July 2025, the company took delivery of 2 aircraft, including 1 A320 series and 1 B737 series aircraft, while retiring 4 aircraft consisting of 3 A320 series and 1 B737 series aircraft. As of the end of July 2025, the company operated a total fleet of 814 aircraft.
