According to reports, Samsung Display, the display manufacturing subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., has demonstrated significant advantages in OLED displays required for smartphones. The company has served as a major supplier since iPhones began adopting OLED technology and has also made notable progress in OLED displays for televisions, tablets, automotive applications, and monitors.

Beyond supplying other manufacturers, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has been utilizing Samsung Display's OLED screens to launch its own products, including televisions, smartphones, and monitors featuring this display technology, achieving considerable market share across various segments.

Market research reports indicate that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. became the largest supplier in the global OLED display market last year. According to the research data, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. captured 34.6% of the global OLED display market share last year, making it the leading supplier. LG Electronics followed closely with a 21% market share.

The report notes that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.'s first OLED monitor was the Odyssey OLED G9, launched in 2022. Remarkably, the company achieved the position of largest supplier just two years after entering this market segment.
