The transaction is categorized as a major disposal under applicable listing regulations and received written approval from the controlling shareholder group, eliminating the need for a general meeting.
The property, initially acquired on 2 October 2025 at JPY901 million, was sold on the same day for JPY1,166 million. Recorded figures indicate a prospective gain of around JPY164 million from the disposal. The assets encompass approximately 6,691 square meters of land and hotel structures collectively operating under the name “Hakone Elecasa Hotel & Spa.” An independent valuer appraised the site’s market value at JPY1,140 million.
According to official statements, the strategic decision was driven by favorable market conditions and the opportunity to generate immediate returns. Once completed, the disposal proceeds are allocated for potential future investments, subject to market opportunities. The disposal will not materially affect the Group’s liabilities.
