Burger King China Sold? CPE Yuanfeng Invests $350 Million for 83% Stake

On November 10, CPE Yuanfeng announced a strategic partnership with Burger King, a brand wholly owned by Restaurant Brands International (RBI). The two parties will establish a joint venture ("Burger King China").

As part of the deal, a wholly-owned affiliate of Burger King China will sign a 20-year master development agreement, granting it exclusive rights to develop the Burger King brand in China. Upon completion of the transaction, CPE Yuanfeng will hold approximately 83% of Burger King China, while RBI will retain around 17%.
