Qualcomm (QCOM.US) and Alphabet (GOOGL.US) announced on Monday a deepening of their existing partnership to formally introduce generative artificial intelligence into the automotive industry. Under the collaboration, Alphabet will provide its Gemini AI model to automakers, while Qualcomm will leverage its Snapdragon Digital Chassis solution to achieve technology integration, jointly creating highly personalized in-vehicle and surrounding user experiences.

Both companies emphasized that this collaboration not only provides a clear pathway for next-generation artificial intelligence to be directly integrated into vehicles, but also makes automotive systems increasingly intelligent over time through continuous optimization mechanisms.

Alphabet Cloud executive Shiv Venkataraman noted that artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping automakers' service capabilities, making experiences more intuitive, personalized, and travel more convenient. Through technical collaboration with Qualcomm, they will build secure and controllable brand-autonomous development platforms that support the development of advanced AI companions with multi-modal interaction, multi-language processing, and multi-intent recognition capabilities, exemplifying how joint innovation drives future mobility transformation.

Qualcomm executive Nakul Duggal added that driven by the dual breakthroughs of generative artificial intelligence and software-defined vehicles, the automotive industry is at a critical transformation point. This technical collaboration with Alphabet Cloud represents an important milestone that will unlock new opportunities for automakers to create advanced digital personalization experiences. By integrating Qualcomm's leading advantages in automotive technology, both parties can drive a broader ecosystem to bring AI-powered innovative experiences to market with greater speed and efficiency, accelerating the arrival of the intelligent mobility era.
