TIANGE (01980) issued an announcement regarding a change in its revenue recognition basis for “Sila Chat,” one of the major revenue contributors in 2025. Initially, revenue was recognized at users’ recharging amounts. After reassessing relevant factors under IFRS 15, TIANGE decided it would be more appropriate to recognize revenue at the net amount of cash proceeds from the distributor for the full year ended 31 December 2025.

According to the announcement, the adjustment will affect the presentation of revenue and cost figures for the six-month period ended 30 June 2025. Total revenue initially stood at RMB 32.43 million, now adjusted to RMB 16.17 million, while cost of revenue was revised from RMB 20.40 million to RMB 4.14 million. Gross profit remains unchanged at RMB 10.94 million, and the loss attributable to owners of the company stays at negative RMB 22.43 million.

The announcement states that the adjustment only impacts revenue and cost presentation, without affecting TIANGE’s gross profit, net profit, or loss attributable to owners for the period. The full-year audited results for 2025 are expected to be published on or around 30 March 2026.
