At the Mobile World Congress 2026 held today, Lu Weibing, Partner, President, and Head of the Smartphone Division at Xiaomi Group, engaged in discussions with media representatives. He stated that overseas markets consider $600 or €600 as the starting point for premium positioning. Over the past few years, Xiaomi's numbered series has maintained a stable presence in the €600-€800 price segment. The starting price for the Xiaomi 17 overseas is €999, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced at €1,499, and the Leitz Phone is set at €1,999, clearly establishing three distinct tiers. He emphasized that after solidifying their position in the €600-€800 range, Xiaomi has begun targeting markets above €1,000 overseas. The Leitz Phone, reaching the €2,000 price segment, has surpassed the overseas price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB. This demonstrates Xiaomi's current courage and confidence to compete with Apple at higher price points.
