Hisense HA (00921) fell nearly 6%, trading at HK$22.62 with a turnover of HK$103 million by press time. The company reported revenue of RMB71.53 billion for the first three quarters, up 1.35% year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB2.81 billion, a 0.67% increase.
In Q3 alone, revenue rose 1.16% YoY to RMB22.19 billion, but net profit declined 5.4% YoY to RMB740 million. Huatai Securities attributed the pressure on Q3 revenue and profit to weaker central air-conditioning performance and overseas sales volatility. Industrial Securities noted diverging performance across product categories, with domestic sales remaining stable but overseas sales facing short-term headwinds.
According to industry data, Hisense's multi-split air conditioner sales grew 2.1% YoY in July-August (domestic sales up 2.7%, overseas down 3.1%). Q3 household air conditioner sales increased 4.7% (domestic +40.7%, overseas -19.8%), while refrigerator sales rose 3.4% (domestic +25.9%, overseas -7.6%). Overall, domestic sales remained steady in Q3, with white goods outperforming central air-conditioning, while overseas markets faced temporary pressure.
