RUIFENG RENEW (00527) announced that the 300MW/1.2GWh grid-side independent energy storage station Phase I project, invested and constructed by its subsidiary Hebei Ruifeng Yunlian Digital New Energy Co., Ltd., commenced construction in September 2024 and achieved full-capacity grid connection on January 22, 2025. The project has already participated in medium- and long-term electricity trading and entered the market-oriented operation phase.

Phase I of the Ruifeng Energy Storage Station adopts lithium iron phosphate battery storage technology, equipped with a four-hour long-duration energy storage system, significantly enhancing the peak shaving and valley filling capabilities as well as emergency backup capacity of the Jibei power grid. As the first grid-side independent energy storage station project connected to the Jibei grid and the largest such project in North China currently engaged in market trading, Phase I has delivered strong economic benefits through participation in the Jibei Power Trading Platform, laying a solid foundation for the expansion and upgrade of Phase II.

On October 21, 2025, the Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission officially issued the "Hebei Multi-Technology Route Independent Energy Storage Pilot Project List," aiming to implement the national "New Energy Storage Large-Scale Construction Action Plan (2025–2027)" and accelerate the diversified, large-scale development of new energy storage to enhance power system regulation capabilities.

The 200MW/0.8GWh grid-forming hybrid energy storage station project (Phase II of the Ruifeng Energy Storage Station) in Chabei Management District was successfully included in the pilot project list. Phase II is planned to be constructed near the Wulan Management Office in Chabei Management District, Zhangjiakou City, adjacent to the northern side of the completed Phase I site. The location leverages existing grid infrastructure, including the State Grid Jiefang 500kV substation, the 220kV booster station, and dedicated transmission lines built for Phase I, providing convenient conditions for project integration.
