Huya's stock demonstrated significant momentum during Tuesday's trading session, climbing over 9% to reach $2.89 per share. This notable upswing follows the company's announcement that it secured exclusive live broadcast rights for the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC2025), which recently commenced in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The streaming platform confirmed comprehensive coverage of all tournament segments throughout EWC2025. Notably, at least five professional teams under contract with Huya will compete in Riyadh across premier titles including League of Legends, Honor of Kings, VALORANT, and CS2. The platform further revealed that nearly 30 Huya-affiliated players and coaches will participate in the championship events. This strategic broadcasting acquisition positions Huya to capitalize on the global esports audience during one of the industry's most prestigious competitions.
