The Lian Dong U Valley Yibin Intelligent Manufacturing Center, part of the Yibin Artificial Intelligence Technology Park (AI-Park), has officially commenced operations. A total of 15 enterprises specializing in complete robots and related components have become the first batch to settle in the center, marking a significant breakthrough in urban industrial development for the South High-Speed Rail area of Yibin City.

Within just one month after completion, the center opened its doors. On the opening day, companies such as Sichuan Shengshi Weisheng Technology Co., Ltd., Maitek (Sichuan) Robot Co., Ltd., and Yibin Limiaoda Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd. were already operating in an orderly and busy manner, embarking on a path of high-quality development in Yibin at the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

Sichuan Shengshi Weisheng Technology Co., Ltd., the Yibin branch of Zhejiang Shengshi Weisheng Company, aims to establish a regional headquarters integrating production, sales, and research for intelligent welding robots, with business coverage spanning Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Chongqing. Zhejiang Shengshi Weisheng Technology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise focused on the research and development of intelligent robots, having created specialized robot series for segments such as welding, grinding, and assembly. Leveraging its parent company's technological strengths and local development opportunities in Yibin, Sichuan Shengshi Weisheng plans to achieve sustained revenue growth while simultaneously enhancing its R&D capabilities to drive continuous technological innovation and commercialization.

Maitek (Sichuan) Robot Co., Ltd., a company in the field of special-purpose robots, originates from Chongqing. As a technological leader in this sector, its parent company Chongqing Mengma holds 54 patents and EU CE + ISO triple system certification. By establishing its Yibin company as the main entity for project implementation within the Lian Dong U Valley center, it will lead and manage the investment, construction, and operation related to the relocation of the headquarters of Chongqing Mengma Zhugang Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. to Yibin. The core business of the Yibin company encompasses technical R&D, production, system integration, and sales of special-purpose robots and key components.

Yibin Limiaoda Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd., which focuses on establishing an "intelligent robot assembly base and robotics laboratory," is also among the first companies to settle in the center. It is building a southwestern regional headquarters that integrates office functions, production, and sales. Its parent company, Huaian Limiaoda Technology Co., Ltd., specializes in the research and application of embodied AI combining artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. Its main products include wafer-handling robots, wheeled robots, and laboratory robots, with its wafer-handling robots performing at an international level and holding approximately 30% of the global market share.

"The Lian Dong U Valley Yibin Intelligent Manufacturing Center opened just one month after completion. Once operating at full capacity, it is projected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 1 billion yuan and create over 1,500 jobs," according to personnel from the Yibin South High-Speed Rail area. The center has a total floor area of about 119,000 square meters, primarily consisting of 20 multi-story factory buildings, one industrial tower, and two talent apartment buildings with podium structures. It focuses on niche segments within "intelligent manufacturing," specifically attracting advanced manufacturing enterprises in smart terminals like robotics and intelligent wearables. By emphasizing "hardware investment" to enhance the fundamental competitiveness of enterprises, it also aims to cultivate and expand application scenario services such as AI data and intelligent connected vehicles, thereby fostering mutual reinforcement between manufacturing and application services, forming an urban industrial cluster, and promoting synergistic industrial development in the area.

In addition to the newly opened Lian Dong U Valley center, the adjacent Zhongguancun Information Valley Artificial Intelligence Industrial Base has commenced construction and will be delivered in batches starting from the end of this year. The Yibin Robot Manufacturing Center is expected to complete its industrial planning in April and begin construction in the second half of the year. Concurrently, efforts are underway to capitalize on the computing power infrastructure industry trend by planning the Yibin AIDC Equipment Integration Manufacturing Center, with preliminary project approval targeted for the first half of the year.

Aligned with the city's overall AI industry plan, the Yibin Artificial Intelligence Technology Park (AI-Park) focuses on three main tracks: the embodied intelligent hardware ecosystem and data collection, large-scale model industry applications, and AIDC computing power equipment integration manufacturing. Along Jinsha Jiang Avenue, a 400-mu "Two Valleys, Three Centers" industrial axis has been planned, with a total carrier area exceeding 600,000 square meters. In July 2025, the first industrial carrier on this axis, the Yibin AI Data Service Center, was completed and put into operation. Within just over six months, its occupancy rate surpassed 90%, attracting 10 data service enterprises like Wende Shuhui and 4 technology incubators including Tsinghua Tongfang, gathering over 3,000 professionals in data services and innovation.

As the primary base for Yibin's AI industry, the AI-Park is located in the central vitality hub of the city's South High-Speed Rail area, covering 2 square kilometers. From the planning stage, it moved away from a single-purpose industrial park model, instead drawing on advanced concepts from leading domestic and international technology parks. It centers on the AI industry, follows a path of industry-city integration, features an eco-friendly and livable environment, and is driven by talent and innovation. The park integrates industrial carriers, talent apartments, commercial complexes, high-quality education, healthcare, and cultural and sports facilities. Leveraging the area's natural ecology, it incorporates a central lake park, pocket parks, and greenway systems to realize the vision of "working in the park, living in the community, and relaxing in the district," allowing industrial vitality and urban warmth to thrive together. The goal is to create a future urban innovation zone characterized by industry-city integration, job-housing balance, and comprehensive functionality.

In September 2025, the Yibin Ecological Technology Innovation Park (E-Park), located in the headquarters economy hub of the South High-Speed Rail area, officially opened, accompanied by the grand opening of Mixc Yibin World, which attracted over 100 city-first stores. Since opening, foot traffic has exceeded 6 million visits, and it was recognized as a 2025 "ShuLi AnYi" new consumption scene by the Provincial Department of Commerce. Additionally, the southwestern region's first robot data acquisition center was completed and began operations, making Yibin a pioneer among similar Chinese cities in achieving closed-loop operations for the embodied intelligent data industry.

Now, the Yibin AI-Park in the central vitality hub is also gradually becoming operational, complementing the already completed E-Park. Together, they present a rising core area for a modern regional central city. According to the development goal of "gaining momentum in three years and being largely completed in five years" for the South High-Speed Rail area, the Yibin AI-Park is scheduled for full completion by 2028. Through three to five years of effort, the aim is to attract and cultivate 5 to 10 data service enterprises each with over 1,000 employees, more than 10 leading enterprises in the embodied AI supply chain, gather 10,000 to 15,000 AI professionals, achieve an output value of 10 to 15 billion yuan, and essentially form an AI industry ecosystem covering data applications, hardware manufacturing, and computing power infrastructure, thereby accelerating the creation of a regionally competitive AI industrial cluster.
