According to a research report from UBS, CITIC BANK (00998) reported a net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 70.6 billion for the 2025 fiscal year, representing a 3% year-on-year increase. This figure is largely consistent with the preliminary announcement released in mid-January, indicating a 2.85% year-on-year growth in net profit for the fourth quarter of 2025. Revenue declined by 0.3% year-on-year to RMB 2.126 trillion, which implies a 9.7% year-on-year increase in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to an annual decrease of 3.4% in the first nine months of the year. The strong revenue growth in the fourth quarter was primarily driven by a 57.6% year-on-year increase in other non-net interest income, supported by higher investment gains from bond sales and increased operating lease income. Net fee income also grew by 5% year-on-year. Notably, CITIC BANK announced a dividend distribution of RMB 3.81 per 10 shares, resulting in a payout ratio of 31.75% for ordinary shareholders, a record high and an increase from the 30.5% ratio in the 2024 fiscal year.
