On August 19, XPeng Inc. released its second quarter 2025 financial results, with multiple core metrics including delivery volume, total revenue, gross margin, and cash reserves all reaching record highs.
XPeng Inc.'s second quarter total revenue reached 18.27 billion yuan, representing a 125.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Total deliveries reached 103,181 units, setting a new quarterly delivery record. The automotive gross margin reached 14.3%, up 7.9 percentage points year-over-year, achieving growth for eight consecutive quarters.
According to the financial report, XPeng Inc.'s cash reserves reached a historic high in the second quarter, with net losses continuing to narrow and free cash flow exceeding 2 billion yuan, demonstrating that XPeng Inc. is accelerating toward a new phase of self-sustaining profitability.
In the third quarter, XPeng Inc. successively launched two new models: the XPeng G7 and the all-new XPeng P7. Positioned as an AI-powered smart family SUV, the XPeng G7 has achieved cumulative deliveries exceeding 10,000 units since its launch on July 3, securing the top sales position in its segment for four consecutive weeks. As XPeng Inc.'s second new model this year, the all-new XPeng P7 surpassed 10,000 pre-orders within 6 minutes and 37 seconds of opening pre-sales. The all-new XPeng P7 is scheduled to officially launch next week.
In the fourth quarter of this year, XPeng Inc. will launch its first Kunpeng super electric vehicle model - the XPeng X9, featuring pure electric range exceeding 450 kilometers and comprehensive range exceeding 1,500 kilometers. Subsequently, XPeng Inc. will release multiple super electric vehicle products, all targeting the longest pure electric range and fastest 5C ultra-fast charging capabilities among similar new energy products.
In the second quarter of this year, XPeng MONA Max became the world's first to bring advanced intelligent driver assistance to the $20,000 price segment. In the third quarter, XPeng Inc. witnessed intensive releases and implementations of AI technology. The Turing AI chip, developed over two years, was first installed in the XPeng G7 Ultra version. This represents the world's first high-computing-power chip capable of simultaneous application in AI vehicles, flying cars, and humanoid robots, with single-chip performance equivalent to three mainstream chips.
Starting with the third quarter launches of XPeng G7 and P7, XPeng Inc. pioneered entry into the L3-level computing power era. The Ultra versions of XPeng Inc.'s vehicle models will be equipped with three self-developed Turing AI chips, delivering effective computing power of 2,250 TOPS, leading among global mass-production vehicle models and representing more than three times the computing power of the latest flagship models from industry peers.
XPeng Inc. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng stated: "XPeng Inc.'s goal is to achieve tens of times improvement over mainstream industry urban assisted driving capabilities within the next 18 months, based on the VLA model capabilities of the Turing chip, reaching L3 levels comparable to human driving in terms of safety, full scenarios, and user experience, achieving generational leadership in capabilities."
During the earnings conference, XPeng Inc. disclosed for the first time that L4-capable models will enter mass production in 2026, with pilot Robotaxi operations and services beginning in select regions. Currently, while several aftermarket-supported L4 autonomous driving models exist in the market, there is still a lack of truly pre-installed models with L4 computing power, software, and hardware capabilities. XPeng Inc. is positioned to become China's first company to achieve this.
Additionally, XPeng Inc.'s new generation humanoid robot development has achieved breakthroughs. Benefiting from the empowerment of homologous technical architecture, based on the Turing AI chip and L4 capabilities' "VLA+VLM" large models, XPeng Inc. is rapidly advancing toward mass-producible versions with preliminary L4 capabilities in the robotics field, preparing for mass production in the second half of 2026.
