At the "Internet Entrepreneurs Forum" of the 2025 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen on November 8, Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi emphasized that enterprises must take new actions in the AI era. Ant Group will focus on two key areas: first, prioritizing practical applications, particularly in AI-driven health solutions, where the company is determined to go all-in; second, fostering open connectivity to facilitate global collaboration, enabling consumers to "travel the world with one wallet" and helping SMEs engage seamlessly in international trade.
"AI’s core value lies in its applications," Han stated. Leveraging user needs and its own expertise, Ant Group is concentrating on three sectors in the AI era: lifestyle services, healthcare, and financial services. "Physical and mental well-being, along with wealth growth, are top concerns for everyone. We aim to make professional services universally accessible through AI, safeguarding health and wealth—two critical aspects of life."
China’s healthcare system continues to improve, with life expectancy now on par with developed nations. However, public demand for high-quality, affordable medical services keeps rising, while top-tier hospitals face heavy workloads and grassroots medical services remain underdeveloped. "In this new AI era, we’re exploring how AI can assist. We believe AI can enable a generational leap in service specialization, automation, and personalization. Ant Group will steadfastly invest in AI health applications to simplify healthcare and daily life for everyone."
Han introduced Ant’s AI Health Assistant AQ, launched in late June, which features proactive questioning and record-keeping capabilities. Covering over 100 functions—from health education to diagnosis consultation, report analysis, and health records—AQ also aids medical treatment, patient education, and research, empowering both specialists and grassroots doctors. Within four months, AQ became China’s first industry-specific AI app with over 10 million monthly active users, ranking 7th on the country’s AI-native application chart.
In wealth management, Ant’s AI financial assistant, Ma Xiaocai, offers services like market analysis, portfolio evaluation, and investment education. The Pro version is now available to institutional clients like fund companies, enhancing research and advisory efficiency.
"AI deployment in highly regulated fields requires not only specialization but also robust data security, privacy protection, and ethical frameworks," Han noted. Ant Group promotes responsible AI, addressing technological challenges with ethical safeguards, including establishing advisory committees for tech and medical ethics, as well as co-developing AI ethics initiatives.
Another focus for Ant is advancing open connectivity to boost global cooperation. Its Alipay+ service, a global wallet gateway, now partners with 40 e-wallets and 10 national QR code networks, serving over 1.8 billion consumers worldwide. Ant also leads in cross-border payment facilitation for foreign visitors, with Alipay’s overseas user transactions in China surging 77% YoY in the first nine months of 2025.
For SMEs, Ant’s WorldFirst supports over 1.2 million businesses with "one account, global payments," while its Global Sailing Program enables merchants to open stores on 30+ major e-commerce platforms worldwide with a single click.
"For 21 years, Ant has stayed true to its mission of solving societal challenges through technology," Han said. "As AI applications flourish, we look forward to collaborating with partners to make specialized services more accessible—ensuring AI not only reaches for the stars but also enriches everyday lives."
The 2025 World Internet Conference, held from November 6–9 in Wuzhen, centered on "Building an Open, Cooperative, Secure, and Inclusive Digital Future—Together for a Shared Cyberspace Community," featuring forums on AI, the digital economy, and data governance.
