Rubrik Surges 26% as Cybersecurity Company Ups Guidance After Strong Q3 Results

Rubrik (NYSE:RBRK) shares surged 26% in premarket trading after the cybersecurity company upped its guidance for fiscal 2025 after reporting stronger-than-expected third-quarter results.

The company now expects to generate between $860M and $862M in revenue for the full year, up from a previous view of $830M to $838M. The new guidance is above the $834.9M analysts were expecting.

On an adjusted basis, Rubrik now expects to lose between $1.82 and $1.86 per share, better than the prior view of an annual loss between $2.06 and $2.12 per share.

Subscription annual recurring revenue for the full-year is expected to be between $1.057B and $1.061B, while free cash flow is expected to be between a negative $39M and $45M, better than the previous range of a negative $57M to $67M.

Our strong growth at scale shows that we’re winning the cyber resilience market and we’re excited to continue to execute on this new vision to define the future of the cybersecurity industry.”

For the third-quarter ending October 31, Rubrik said it lost an adjusted $0.21 per share as revenue rose 43% year-over-year to come in at $236.2M. Subscription revenue accounted for $221.5M of that figure, as the company had 2,085 customers with $100,000 or more in subscription annual recurring revenue.

A consensus of analysts expects the company to lose an adjusted $0.40 per share on $217.6M in revenue.

Looking to the fourth-quarter, Rubrik expects to lose between $0.37 and $0.41 per share on an adjusted basis, with revenue between $231.5M and $233.5M. The midpoint of $232.5M is above the $225M analysts were expecting, who also anticipated an adjusted loss of $0.41 per share.
