Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited (Meilan Airport) announced a series of senior management changes effective 24 September 2026.
Ren Kai has resigned as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, simultaneously stepping down from the Board’s Remuneration and Strategic Committees. The company stated that his departure is due to work adjustments, and Ren confirmed he has no disagreements with the Board or issues requiring shareholder attention.
To ensure leadership continuity, the Board has re-designated Xiang Xiujin, aged 39, from Non-Executive Director to Executive Director and appointed him Chief Financial Officer. Xiang holds a 2007 bachelor’s degree in taxation from the Central University of Finance and Economics and has served in multiple finance roles within Hainan Airport Holdings and its affiliates since 2007. His CFO remuneration is set at an annual salary of RMB0.77 million, with additional discretionary bonuses linked to performance. Xiang will no longer serve on the Audit Committee.
Subject to shareholder approval at an upcoming extraordinary general meeting (EGM), the Board has nominated Jiang Lini, aged 43, for appointment as a Non-Executive Director. Jiang, a seasoned capital-markets specialist with nearly two decades of experience in listed-company governance and financing, currently heads the board office at Hainan Airport Infrastructure. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and marketing from Wuhan University and a board secretary qualification. Jiang has opted to waive director remuneration.
A circular detailing Jiang’s proposed appointment and the EGM notice will be dispatched to shareholders in due course.
Following the announced changes, the Board will comprise three executive directors (Wang Hong, Qiu Guoliang, Xiang Xiujin), two non-executive directors (Ya Zhihui, Zhou Peng), four independent non-executive directors (Fung Ching Simon, Ye Zheng, Liu Hongbin, Tang Bi), and one employee director (Tian Qingquan).
