NVIDIA (NVDA.US) is drawing significant attention this week as Wedbush reports that recent surveys indicate a 10:1 supply-demand ratio for the company's chips ahead of its earnings report scheduled for August 27th.
Wedbush analysts wrote in a client report: "When NVIDIA reports earnings after the close on Wednesday, the tech world and Wall Street will hang on every word from Jensen Huang - we still believe based on our field research in Asia that the supply/demand for NVIDIA's golden chips remains at a 10:1 ratio."
The analysts added that NVIDIA's performance will likely serve as "another positive catalyst for tech stocks," reassuring investors that AI infrastructure buildout is still in the early stages of what they describe as the "bottom of the 2nd inning of a 9-inning game."
Analysts broadly expect NVIDIA to report earnings per share of $1.01 and revenue of $46 billion.
