Alphabet's President and Chief Investment Officer, Ruth Porat, stated on Monday that the expansion of the U.S. power supply may not keep pace with the demands of the growing artificial intelligence industry. She made these remarks while discussing the enormous amount of electricity required for the company's expansion of AI data centers.
Speaking at the CERAWeek conference in Houston, Texas, she said, "We are concerned that we are not operating at full capacity in terms of energy supply."
