CHINA INFO TECH (08178) has announced an expected net loss attributable to the company's owners of no less than HKD 90 million for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025 (FY2025). This compares to a net loss attributable to owners of approximately HKD 37.634 million for the corresponding period in 2024 (FY2024), representing an increase in the shareholder loss of at least 139.15%. Based on information available to the company immediately prior to this announcement, the board of directors attributes the increased loss primarily to two factors: (i) a decrease in the fair value of investment properties of approximately HKD 54.225 million; and (ii) a reduction in revenue generated from investment properties of approximately HKD 5.7 million due to a leasing dispute with a tenant.
