According to information from the Jining Bureau of Energy, on October 22, Shandong Province's largest commercial and industrial energy storage project — the 30MW/60MWh energy storage project by Huqin Green Energy — successfully began operations in Yanzhou District of Jining City.
With a total investment of 100 million yuan, the project utilizes a complete energy storage system from CATL, effectively addressing the issue of energy wastage caused by rooftop solar power abandonment. By scientifically leveraging the price disparity between peak and off-peak hours, the project is expected to reduce annual electricity costs for enterprises by approximately 6.68 million yuan, further lowering production costs and enhancing product competitiveness.
To assist Huqin Group in tackling the problem of solar power wastage, the Jining Bureau of Energy has repeatedly sought policy support from the provincial energy bureau, conducted dedicated research at the company, and learned from advanced experiences in commercial and industrial energy storage in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. They also proactively invited professional institutions to collaborate with Huqin Group to formulate user-side energy storage solutions.
During the project construction, Huqin Group and CATL cooperated closely, achieving localized application of CATL battery products. After being connected to the grid, the project is forecasted to enhance the photovoltaic consumption capacity by about 21.9 million kilowatt-hours each year, thereby increasing Huqin Group's photovoltaic power generation revenue and creating a new model of cooperative win-win relationships among enterprises.
