On September 3rd, Qingbaijiang District in Chengdu announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with ZTO Express Inc., aimed at jointly developing a multimodal smart logistics industrial ecosystem and establishing a low-altitude logistics hub.

The partnership will leverage Qingbaijiang District's advantages as the "Asia-Europe" international railway hub and ZTO Express Inc.'s technological expertise in "smart logistics + unmanned delivery." The collaboration will focus on low-altitude logistics, innovative research and development, and intelligent warehousing and distribution.

The project will implement intelligent sorting and unmanned delivery applications to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for industries in Qingbaijiang District. As the home of Chengdu International Railway Port and the departure point for Chengdu's international rail services, Qingbaijiang District boasts a solid foundation in port manufacturing, with mature industrial clusters in modern logistics and equipment manufacturing.

District officials noted that ZTO Express Inc.'s decision to establish operations in Qingbaijiang demonstrates strong confidence in the area's strategic location, industrial foundation, and development potential. The partnership will prioritize the development of a comprehensive logistics hub headquarters, China-Europe train hub warehouses, unmanned vehicle intelligent delivery networks, and a comprehensive logistics hub research institute. The collaboration will also explore general aviation airport operations.

Future cooperation will integrate with the largest outlet mall complex project in Southwest China, creating a high-end luxury goods bonded distribution warehouse for the Southwest region. Leveraging the China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the partners aim to establish a cross-border trade logistics system combining "cross-border trains + integrated warehousing and distribution" targeting Southeast Asia.

Additionally, the partnership will explore innovative transportation models including "railway + drones," "low-altitude + cold chain," and intelligent delivery systems combining unmanned vehicles and drones. These initiatives aim to create an integrated modern logistics industrial system that combines "intercity regional distribution, low-altitude intelligent transportation, and logistics scenario innovation," establishing a new benchmark for the coordinated development of international land port multimodal transport and smart logistics.
