Notice on the Removal of Illegal Micro-Drama Mini-Programs (September 2025)
WeChat remains committed to creating a safe, healthy, and positive platform ecosystem. To ensure the standardized operation of micro-drama mini-programs on the platform and achieve orderly development, the platform strictly implements corporate responsibility.
Following deployment requirements from the National Radio and Television Administration and Guangdong Radio and Television Bureau, the platform has continuously strengthened inspection and review of vulgar and harmful micro-dramas, as well as operational management of infringing micro-drama mini-programs.
Recently, through inspection and review, the platform discovered that some micro-dramas contained content with poor value orientations or involved copyright infringement. In accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, as well as the "Tencent WeChat Software License Service Agreement" and "WeChat Mini-Program Operation Standards," the platform has removed nearly 100 non-compliant micro-dramas. These include programs with poor guidance, vulgar content, and lack of positive values support. Mini-programs with violations have also been penalized.
