The board of Beijing Digital Telecom Co., Ltd. (BJ Digital) announced the planned retirement of Ernst & Young (EY) as external auditor at the conclusion of the 2026 Annual General Meeting, ending a relationship of more than 10 years.

The decision follows an impasse over audit fees for the financial year ending 31 December 2026 and reflects the board’s stated goal of strengthening audit independence and corporate governance.

EY confirmed that, apart from the material-uncertainty-related-to-going-concern paragraph included in its 31 March 2026 report on the year ended 31 December 2025, no circumstances need to be brought to shareholders’ or creditors’ attention. The board and its Audit Committee likewise reported no disagreements or unresolved issues with the outgoing auditor.

In accordance with Listing Rule 13.88, the company must appoint an auditor at each AGM; however, the tender process for a successor firm is still under way. As a result, the auditor-appointment resolution will be removed from the forthcoming AGM agenda and tabled at an extraordinary general meeting to be scheduled later.

Management intends to nominate a new auditor for FY2026 as soon as the procurement process is completed and will release further announcements in line with listing requirements.
