On the afternoon of September 5, leading U.S. large language model company Anthropic announced it would cease selling Claude services to groups with majority Chinese capital ownership, affecting mainland China and companies using the service indirectly through overseas registration or cloud services. To help developers transition smoothly and continue enjoying top-tier AI coding capabilities, Zhipu quickly launched a special migration plan for Claude API users.
Zhipu stated that they have achieved full compatibility with Claude protocols, allowing users to seamlessly switch from Claude to GLM model APIs by simply replacing the API URL.
According to reports, Zhipu will provide 20 million tokens as a free trial for new users completing the migration. The company offers developers GLM-4.5 coding-specific monthly packages priced at only 1/7 of Claude's cost, with triple the usage capacity and faster processing speeds (averaging 55 tokens per second). For enterprise customers, Zhipu additionally provides concurrent scaling to meet business requirements, along with lower-cost discount benefits and dedicated one-on-one migration consulting and solution services.
