SH ELECTRIC (02727) announced that Xu Jianxin, who has served as an independent non-executive director since November 14, 2019, will step down from his roles as independent non-executive director, member of the Strategy Committee, chairman and member of the Audit Committee, member of the Nomination Committee, and member of the Remuneration Committee due to nearing the six-year tenure limit for independent directors.

The company has nominated Chen Xinyuan as a candidate for independent non-executive director of the fifth board of directors. His term will commence upon approval by the shareholders' meeting and continue until the end of the fifth board's tenure.

Upon formal appointment, Chen Xinyuan will assume positions as a member of the Strategy Committee, chairman and member of the Audit Committee, member of the Nomination Committee, and member of the Remuneration Committee.
