At the 2025 World Internet Conference's "Internet Entrepreneurs Forum" held in Wuzhen, Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi outlined the company's dual focus in the AI era: driving technological innovation and fostering global connectivity.
Han emphasized that AI's core value lies in practical applications. Ant Group is concentrating on three key areas—lifestyle services, healthcare, and financial services—leveraging its user insights and technological expertise. "Health and wealth are universal priorities," he noted. "We aim to make professional services accessible through AI, safeguarding these fundamental aspects of life."
In June 2025, Ant launched its AI health assistant, AQ, compliant with regulatory and ethical standards. Equipped with proactive engagement and health record features, AQ offers over 100 functions, including medical consultation, report analysis, and health education. The tool also supports diagnostics, patient education, and research, empowering both specialists and grassroots doctors. Within four months, AQ became China's first industry-specific AI app to surpass 10 million monthly active users, ranking seventh in the domestic AI-native application chart.
Additionally, Han highlighted Alipay+, Ant's global payment gateway, which partners with 40 e-wallets and 10 national QR code networks, serving over 1.8 billion consumers worldwide. As a leader in cross-border payment facilitation, Ant has expanded its coverage of overseas wallets and usage scenarios. From January to September 2025, foreign users accessing Alipay in China surged by 77% year-on-year.
