Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited Announces Change of Auditor for 2025

Bulletin Express
Oct 31

Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited (the “Company”) has proposed appointing Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Certified Public Accountants LLP (“Deloitte CPA”) as its financial and internal control auditor for 2025, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming general meeting. The proposal comes after Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP (“EYHM”) served the Company for seven consecutive years, in line with regulatory guidelines that limit an accounting firm’s engagement period.

Deloitte CPA’s total fee is set at RMB2.4083 million, including RMB1.90 million for the annual financial report and RMB0.5083 million for internal control. This figure represents a 5% decrease compared to the previous period. Deloitte CPA’s team will be led by project partner Jiang Jian and quality reviewer Hu Yuanyuan, both of whom have extensive audit experience, alongside signing Certified Public Accountant Ouyang Qianli.

The audit committee considered Deloitte CPA’s professional qualifications, investor protection capabilities, independence, and integrity, concluding that they fulfill the Company’s requirements. EYHM and Deloitte CPA have confirmed there are no outstanding issues or disagreements. The appointment will become effective upon approval by the Company’s shareholders, with notification to be sent before the general meeting.
