November 7 news: The 9th China International Import Expo is being held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, marking the seventh consecutive year that Nike has participated in the event.
At this year's CIIE, Nike (NYSE: NKE) showcased a series of globally leading sports technologies, including the Radical AirFlow platform, which for the first time extends from apparel to footwear, a new basketball shoe matrix reshaped by playing style, and a speed racing shoe matrix led by the Apex, among other debut products. Visitors could also see locally originated series designed for the multi-scenario lifestyles of young Chinese consumers, the Nike Swooshfly responding to the first-race needs of Chinese runners, a marathon racing series embodying Shanghai's running culture, and more works co-created with local designers. Nike athletes Li Hongquan, Zhu Fang, and Wu Bing, along with ACG outdoor friends and actor Ci Sha, also appeared on site to join Nike in kicking off this year's CIIE journey.
Beyond product innovation, Nike is also continuously optimizing its market layout through innovative retail models, deeper community experiences, and upgraded digital platforms to better serve Chinese athletes and consumers. At this year's CIIE, Nike also announced a series of new retail innovation initiatives: on November 27, the revamped Nike Running Store will reopen on Xinle Road in Shanghai. Centered on runners, the store will integrate Nike's philosophy of "serving athletes" into every experiential detail and draw inspiration from Shanghai's vibrant local running culture to resonate with local runners. Jordan will open its world's first community-centered concept pop-up space, "Jordan Zhangyuan," in January 2027 at Zhangyuan in Shanghai, using it as a platform to root itself in Shanghai, connect with local street culture and creative communities, and jointly shape a new generation of Shanghai street culture with consumers through products, services, and diverse experiences. ACG will continue to expand its retail footprint in China. In January 2027, three new ACG Base Camps will successively open in Tianjin, Chengdu, and Ningbo, bringing professional products and experiences to local outdoor communities. In spring 2027, ACG's first Tmall flagship store will also officially launch. Angela Dong, Vice President of Nike Group and General Manager of Greater China, said, "This is Nike's seventh consecutive year participating in the CIIE and our 45th year in China. We have brought many globally debuted and China-debuted innovative products, as well as a growing number of achievements co-created with Chinese consumers and local creators. We will also push the boundaries of retail experiences to bring everyone entirely new services and community experiences. These are our commitments to Chinese consumers, and in the future, we hope to continue creating more possibilities together with China."
