On the evening of September 22, Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co.,Ltd. (002709.SZ), a leading lithium battery electrolyte company, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Jiujiang Tianci has signed a cooperation agreement with REPT BATTERO.
Under the agreement, which is effective from the date of signing until December 31, 2030, REPT BATTERO (including REPT BATTERO's Wenzhou base and its affiliated companies/bases) will purchase no less than 800,000 tons of electrolyte products from Jiujiang Tianci.
According to the announcement, Jiujiang Tianci can meet REPT BATTERO's peak monthly demand with a supply capacity of no less than 20,000 tons. The price of lithium hexafluorophosphate, the core raw material for electrolyte products, will be determined through separate negotiations between both parties.
Recent market observations indicate that domestic electrolyte market prices have remained generally stable, showing strong supply and demand momentum. Several electrolyte material manufacturers are operating at full capacity with no inventory, indicating urgent market demand.
Based on the latest quotations from September 18, lithium hexafluorophosphate electrolyte prices range from 55,000-59,000 yuan per ton (domestic); power ternary electrolyte prices range from 19,200-23,600 yuan per ton; power lithium iron phosphate electrolyte prices range from 15,000-21,000 yuan per ton; and energy storage lithium iron phosphate electrolyte prices range from 14,000-19,400 yuan per ton.
Using the mid-range price of power lithium iron phosphate electrolyte at 18,000 yuan per ton as a reference, the 800,000 tons of electrolyte would be valued at over 14 billion yuan, reaching 14.4 billion yuan. This means that over the next five years, Jiujiang Tianci will supply approximately 14.4 billion yuan worth of electrolyte products to REPT BATTERO.
In the secondary market, despite poor overall index performance on September 23, Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co.,Ltd. still performed well, opening 1.02% higher and remaining positive through the close. The company's current total market value stands at 58.62 billion yuan.
